How does it work? Simply explained…

Solar panels produce electricity when sunlight strikes photovoltaic cells on a panel’s thin silicon surface. Usually mounted on roofs to maximize space and exposure to the sun, there are two ways to use the energy your panels produce:

1. Battery-stored power. When your home requires more power than your panels may be producing — at night, for example — power stored in on-site batteries provides the extra power you need.
2. Grid-tied power. By connecting solar panels through your electric meter to the local electric company’s power grid you gain a flexible way to draw and off-load power. When you produce more power than your home needs, your excess electricity flows into the local grid, turning your electric-meter backwards to earn you credits. When you need additional power, you draw power back from the grid, turning your electric meter forward and utilizing your credits.

What about permits?
OnForce Solar will apply for all permits and file all paperwork with local, state and federal agencies on your behalf, making sure that your system meets all requirements—and that you are able to benefit from available rebates, tax credits and other incentives.
